16 Europipeline PERFORMER GPL 980, bought by SICIM arrived in the Region of Sivas located in central Anatolia, to give their powerful contribution to the building of the TANAP Project. They immediately show their original and innovative design technology. In fact, they arrived dismantled into parts into two different open top containers for each model to guarantee an easy and cost saving transfer. The reassembling procedure took a very short time and it was easier than expected, contributing to a general save of 80% of the usual costs of transportation compared to the average pipe-layers commonly used in the gas market.
PERFORMER GPL 980 performs perfectly with any climate condition
Even in the worst climate condition, with a full coverage of white snow, the PERFORMER GPL 980 can effectively work and give a strong contribution to the building of the “TANAP-Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline” regarding the SECTION N. 2 that will be 2,450km long composed of tubes of 56″ size. A huge project to bring gas in Europe through Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Greece and Albania that will be completed by the end of 2017.
Piping machine with 98.000 kg lift capability
All was made possible thanks to the strict cooperation between the producer EUROPIPELINE and SICIM that, as a partner really believed in the project giving a fundamental contribution on the conceptual side for the design of the ultimate version of the PERFOMER GPL 980 which can guarantee a capability of lifting 98,000 kg thanks to a Caterpillar engine and Bosch Rexroth components.
Continuity of work guaranteed 24/7
SICIM Spokesperson claims: “Thanks to this flexible technology solution applied to the PERFORMER GPL 980 we can easily guarantee a continuity of work flow 24/7. If accidentally, one of the component, that can be disassembled, is out of order, it can be quickly substituted with a spare one, while the damaged component can be easily repaired without stopping the work flow”.
